Kaikki tarpeellinen tieto ravintolasta Woolshed Bar & Kitchen
Bringing more than a little antipodean Australian sunshine to Helsinki’s city centre, Woolshed Bar & Kitchen is the place in the Finnish capital to get a proper gastropub feed, as the Aussies say. It’s easy to spot along Töölönlahdenkatu, right by the central station, thanks to the big beer garden and terrace which in fine weather is busy with diners and drinkers enjoying a wide range of craft beers, fine wines (including some special Aussie chardonnays), handmade gourmet burgers – and all the major international sports matches up on the big screen.

We love Woolshed Bar & Kitchen for its commitment to the busy workaday crowds in Helsinki’s city centre. Come the weekend, this gastropub and kitchen is reliably packed, but thanks to a special deal on offer every day of the week, Woolshed maintains a steady stream of diners looking to indulge in solid Australian fare and a peerless selection of carefully-chosen beer, wine and more. Beefed Up Mondays sees the Woolshed going surf and turf with premium grain-fed rump steak with or without king prawns. Burger Tuesdays sees this Aussie institution rolling out four of their best-selling gourmet burgers, handmade from Australian beef, for a massively discounted price. And, as the midweek hump approaches, there’s more yet.
This 100% Australian-owned-and-operated gastropub can’t stop being generous with Wednesday looming, so they’ve devised a way to hasten the week’s end by offering fantastically good value bottles of sparkling, red, white and rose wines to those with a Woolshed Bar & Kitchen Boomerang Card, a loyalty programme that’s almost redundant considering the popularity of this city centre hotspot along Töölönlahdenkatu. Described as a gathering of international peoples from all over the world, this is Woolshed’s internationalist gesture to the good people of Helsinki. But wait, mate, there’s more. Steak and Lobster Thursdays hardly needs explanation, but suffice it to say Woolshed unites northern and southern hemispheres by way of Atlantic lobster and, again, fine Australian grain-fed rump steak. Friday, thank goodness, means discounted happy hour drinks, live bands, and DJs until 4am. The party continues through to Saturday, followed by a chilled Sunday programme of – yep – fine food and drink. Be sure to book if you want some elbow space, no matter the day of the week!
